Straight out of Chicago, IIlinois (SouthSide to be exact), Rockie Fresh was given the name by his friends for freestyle battles at lunch time. In 2009, he began working on mixtapes - Rockie's Modern Life & The Otherside (2010). These mixtapes got him the attention he needed to open up for Rick Ross**, Big Sean, and Twista. He soon after met members of Good Charlotte and Fall Out Boy's lead singer, Patrick Stump. So, Rockie isn't your typical rap artist. Rockie just inked a deal with MMG to further his career.
